Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is this product about?

We offer a host of coverages that are relevant to your needs and concerns.

The policy provides cover for:

a) Accidental Death and Disablement - compensation for death or injury due to accident, together with medical reimbursement.
b) Loss of Cash & Valuables due to Theft/Robbery. We will reimburse you for loss due to theft, outside your private residence e.g. snatch theft.
c) Identity Theft to recover credit worthiness. Cover for expenses resulting from your efforts to resolve your identity theft. Expenses can be submitted up to 12 months after you make a claim.
d) Identity theft to cover fraudulent charges. Cover for any monetary loss suffered by you as a result of identity fraud.
e) ATM Withdrawal Protection - Reimbursement basis. We will reimburse you for:
  (i) Cash withdrawn; or
  (ii) Cash you are forced to withdraw as a result of a robbery at the ATM or within 15 minutes of withdrawing money from an ATM using your payment card.
f) Home Protection (Burglary) - We will cover you for loss of your household contents as a result of a forcible break-in to you residence.
g) Disaster Cash (Lump Sum) - a cash benefit in case:
  (i) your Private Residence is rendered uninhabitable for more than forty-eight (49) hours following a natural disaster or fire; or
  (ii) you suffer a fatal injury or total/partial permanent disablement following an impact from any falling object or following a natural disaster to your private residence but excliuding any injury suffered as a result of any motor vehicle accident.
h) Key Replacement Cover-
  This will cover:
  (i) the cost of replacing your residence and/or vehicle keys which are lost or stolen. The covered cost is limited to the money that has been paid to a locksmith to produce new key(s).
  (ii) the cost of replacing your locks and keys if your residence or vehicle is borken into. The covered cost include the labor cost for replacing the lock.
  (iii) the cost of engaging the service of a locksmith if you are locked out of your residence or vehicle due to the loss or theft of your keys.
  (iv) the reasonable cost of a rental car for ONE (1) day if your vehicle keys are lost or stolen of which replacement will take more than twenty-four (24) hours.

Duration of cover is for one year. You need to renew your insurance cover annually.

2. Who can apply?
Anyone between the age of 18 to 65 years old.

3. How much premium do I have to pay?
The total premium that you have to pay may vary depending on
  (i) which plan you select; and
  (ii) whether you take cover for individual or individual & spouse.

4. What are the fees and charges that I have to pay?

  (i) Stamp Duty - RM10.00

5. What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of?
Importance of disclosure - you must disclose all material facts such as your occupation and your personal pursuits which would affect the risk profile.

6. What are the major exclusions under this policy?
This policy does not cover death, injury or losses caused by the following events:

  - War risks;
  - Suicide and insanity;
  - AIDS;
  - Provoked murder or assault;
  - Request for credit reports before the discovery of identity theft and leave take to resolve the identity theft.
  - Charges made on your lost or stolen payment card issues by a licensed financial institution more than 12 hours prior to your first report on the payment card being lost or stolen to the licensed financial institution in respect of the fraudulent charges benefit.
  - Loss due to the use of fraudulent cards, unauthorised use of your card by your family members or friends and any debt arising from the unauthorised use of any supplementary card issued to your family members or friends in respect of the ATM withdrawal protection.
  - Loss as a result of being pick pocketed in respect of the loss of cash and personal valuable benefit;
   - Cost associated with lost or stolen keys for a residence other than your primary residence and vehicles that you do not own for personal use.

7. Can I cancel my policy?
You may cancel your policy by giving written notice to us. Upon cancellation, you are entitled to a refund of the premium based on the unexpired period of insurance.

8. What should I do in the event of a claim?
All claims must be made in writing and submitted to us within thirty (30) days after the date of loss. Please contact 012-2256664 for more details.

9. What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact/personal details?
It is important that you inform us of any change in your life profile including your occupation and personal pursuits which would affect the risk profile.
